ANOTHER Wedding Event!

Gee swizz…I haven’t posted anything new in…*checks watch*…a long time!  Uhhhh…

OH YES!  If you’ve been keeping up with the AQWorlds Design Notes, you already know that AE Staff Member Nythera is getting married!  And to celebrate, the Artix Entertainment team has released a huge wedding event with one shop, three new monsters, four maps,  a bunch of quests, AND LOTS AND LOTS OF ITEMS (including a new purple mug that I can add to my collection)!

Here’s to Nythera and her husband Ryuuji!

 

In this wedding event, Nythera does NOT want to get married.  The wedding was arranged by her parents (totally unfair) when she was born.  Gee swizz, Nythera’s parents really like to plan ahead…  Anyway, it’s up to you to help Nythera prevent her marriage to Ryuuji, her future husband…possibly.  So log in, grab those rares, complete those quests, and help Nythera save…I mean PREVENT the marriage!

Wedding Map is coming back

If any of you have been playing AQWorlds since December 2008 at least, then you probably remember the in-game  (and out-game) wedding of players Bello and Merca.  Well from looking on Cysero’s Twitter (again), I learned that Cysero is getting married this Sunday on the 13th, and the same map that Bello and Merca were married in will be re-opening with new rare items like the Emerald Eternal Flame.

I just checked Cysero’s Twitter, and he says that this week’s release will include:

• J6′s Special Area
• Expanded BattleUnder
• Ticklish Zorbo Shop
• And if you bought Necromancer on PTR, your Necromancer Token will finally turn into something!

This is gonna be a VERY fun release!

AQWorlds is full of updates!  Read about them below. \/

PvP

Currently, there is a preview of PvP, featuring a Darkovia map.  In this map, you will play on either the side of the vampires or the lycans, and try to kill the other team’s knight (Vampire=Vampire Knight, Lycan=Lycan Knight), once you defeat the enemy knight, your team will gain a large boost of points that will make you closer to winning the battle.  Once a team’s points reach 1,000, they win.

Stats

The new stats are Strength, Intellect, Endurance, Dexterity, Wisdom, and Luck, which affect the secondary stats:  Attack Power, Spell Power, Critical Strike Chance, Haste, Evasion Chance, Critical Strike Value, and Hit Chance.  Your Stats will change depending on what class you have equipped, and what kind of enhancements your currently equipped items have.

Enhancements

Fighter:  Raises Strength, Endurance, and Dexterity.  Recommended for Warrior/Warlord, Dragonslayer, DoomKnight, and Berzerker.

Wizard:  Raises Intellect, Endurance, and Luck.  Recommended for Mage/Sorcerer.

Thief:  Raises Dexterity, Strength, and Endurance.  Recommended for Rogue/Renegade and Pirate.

Healer:  Raises Intellect, Endurance, and Wisdom a little.  Recommended for Healer/Acolyte.

Hybrid:  Raises Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, and Endurance.  Recommended for Ninja/Assassin, Paladin, and Rustbucket/Enforcer/Protosartorium.

Lucky:  Raises Luck a lot.  No recommendations.

Level Cap

It got raised to 30. =D  And comes with a new level 30 achievment badge in the Book of Lore Badges section.

User Interface Updates

There are now options to expand or hide the chat log, a new icon that allows you to view your stats and skills, the map icon and quests icon have changed, the inventory and shop panels have been rebuilt, and Valencia’s Add Inventory/Bank/House space buttons have changed.

Other Stuff

The /stern and /salute emotes have been changed

Your weapon now disappears when you do /dance, /dance2, /backflip, /wave, /sleep, or /punt

Anyone who bought Necromancer class before PTR was moved to the live servers now has a Necromancer Token which will soon turn into something special

You no longer have to rest to regain health and mana

New Years Event and Major Moglins Quests

First of all, happy late new years everyone.  Second of all, there’s a new event that you can get to by typing /join newyear, talking to the new NPC, Lim, in Battleon, or clicking on the It’s New Years! button in Battleon.  Unfortunately, this looks like a pretty much members only release.  There’s a new shop that only has one non-member, non-AC item, and it’s a hand-me-down item from the Fourth of July release.  Anyway, here are the items you will see in Lim’s shop.

Also, everywhere in AQWorlds I have noticed that many people are having trouble with Major Moglin’s quests.  Which is why I will post how to finish them below.

‘Twas the night before Frostval:  /join snowpath and kill Frosty for the Frostval Book Cover.

Chapter 2:  /join yulgar then go to the room with the fireplace where you will see a sock above the fireplace.  Click the sock and then you have it.

Chapter 3:  /join battleontown and you should see the page in front of the tree in the middle of the area.

Chapter 4:  /join factory and kill Sneevil Toy Makers until they drop it.

Chapter 5:  /join northlandlight and kill Santy Claws for this page.

Chapter 6:  /join battleontown and click the second golden moglin on the tree.

Doom Knight Class

Vath Fight for non members/Good and Evil Reputation

The new release has been released.  First of all, non members can /join stalagbite to finally have their chance to kill Vath and Stalagbite, and you get to see awesome cutscenes before and after you kill them.  Once you’ve finished killing them, you will be in the tavern, where you can talk to Snowbeard to replay every cutscene from the Dwarfhold.

Note: When you go to fight Vath, you will see Vath and Stalagbite.  Make sure you attack Stalagbite first, it will highly reduce your damage when fighting Vath, but if you attack Vath first, Stalagbite will just stomp you which will kill you in one hit.

Also, you can now start gaining reputation for Good and Evil factions.  Talk to King Alteon to do quests that will raise your Good reputation.  Talk to Gravelyn to do quests that will raise your evil reputation.  Also, there are new reputation shops, both filled with 24 items, where you can buy new good and evil items, though most items require a certain rank with that faction.

Fun fact: All the good reputation items were drawn by J6, while all the evil reputation items were drawn by Miltonius.

New Moon Shop

To celebrate Apollo 11 day, AQ Worlds has opened a Moon Shop in Battleon that will be here until Monday.  Unfortunately, all the good items are ACs =/.  Anyway, here are the items you’ll find in the shop:

Battleon (and Shadowfall) are saved!

Thanks to all the heroes that were at the live event yesterday, Battleon and Shadowfall are saved.  For anyone that missed the event, you can go to the area where the event took place by typing /join tilt.  For anyone that did save the towns, thanks for saving me. =)

Also, there is a new house available to buy from Centaur 21 called a Keep.  It has two stories, and a moat!
